James Matthews Fine Artist
James trained in traditional fine art at Julian Ashton’s Art school in Sydney, Australia. James’ work is influenced by his animation background, and seeks to express movement and life in still images.
James is a featured artist on Portrait Artist of the Year Australia (Series 2), and is the 2026 winner of the Creative Pathways Scholarship in Bowral NSW.
James is currently developing a body of work for his first solo show, exhibiting in Bowral NSW in February 2027.
